Fantasy Running Back Rankings 50-46

#50 Shonn Greene

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2011 25 NYJ 16 253 1054 6 4.2 30 211 7 0 41 1 0
2012 26 NYJ 16 276 1063 8 3.9 19 151 7.9 0 31 4 1
2013 27 Ten 11 77 295 4 3.8 6 39 6.5 0 7 0 0

After breaking the thousand yard mark for two years as a Jet, Greene moved on to the Titans to find much of the same except for the carries.  Yes, I know there were almost 700 yards less than 2012.  The Average per carry was the same, an unimpressive 3.8 yards per.  This is not going to cut it in the NFL.  He may be atop the depth chart for now, but with highly touted rookie Bishop Sankey in the wings it is only a matter of time before he loses that top spot.  Greene is worth a late round pick to cover any early season holes in your line up.

#49 Fred Jackson

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2011 30 Buf 10 170 934 6 5.5 39 442 11 0 50 2 2
2012 31 Buf 10 115 437 3 3.8 34 217 6.4 1 42 5 4
2013 32 Buf 16 206 890 9 4.3 47 387 8.2 1 66 3 0

Fred Jackson will continue to complement CJ Spiller in Buffalos back field. Having racked up almost 900 yards in 2013 that number could take a dip in 2014 with Spiller returning to full health. Jackson’s numbers could improve if Spiller struggles for full fitness again, and he could be used as a goal line back. Unlikely to be more than a backup/bye week prospect, Jackson could be valuable to those who draft Spiller as a handcuff

#48 Khiry Robinson

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2013 23 NO 10 54 224 1 4.1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Khiry Robinson is another New Orleans’ Saints back who shares the touches with Mark Ingram. Robinson is a power runner, and flashed potential in 2013 with multiple strong games. Ingram has been a disappointment at RB so far in his career, so the Saints would love to see some big games out of Robinson in 2014 to solidify the backfield. Robinson’s ADP is 113.5, so if he can have more games like week 6 at New England (7 attempts, 53 yards and 1 TD), Robinson will be a hot waiver pick up or a great stash on your bench in a deep league. This guy could be a star, but only if he is put on the field.

#47 Ahmed Bradshaw

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2011 25 NYG 12 171 659 9 3.9 34 267 7.9 2 44 1 1
2012 26 NYG 14 221 1015 6 4.6 23 245 11 0 31 3 3
2013 27 Ind 3 41 186 2 4.5 7 42 6 0 8 0 0

Bradshaw had an injury plagued first season with the Colts, only managing 3 games before being placed on injured reserve. In 2014 Bradshaw will look to bounce back while backing up Trent Richardson. If Richardson’s 2013 struggles continue Bradshaw could see more carries and if he can stay healthy, he could be a decent bye week fill in.

#46 Christine Michael

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2013 22 Sea 4 18 79 0 4.4 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

How does a third stringer get ranked #46? He has skill.  Those skills are just waiting for an opportunity to be used. It says a lot when a team will not extend a contract of their top RB in his last season with them. Lynch has been used hard and put away wet.  He has had over 300 touches for three straight years in the regular season.  Now add a Super Bowl run to those numbers and you see why some think that that opportunity Michael is waiting for may come this year.  Christine Michael is a straight late round lottery ticket.  Buy it and wait to see if they call his number.
