Fantasy Running Back Rankings 60-56

#60 Dri Archer – R

After Bell and Blount were caught with weed pandemonium struck and a public outbreak on social media took place. These indiscretions should not affect time on the field, at least this year anyways. Dri Archer proved on the small amount of time that he has spent on the field that he has value to be somewhere on the field. In his first two preseason games, he carved out two separate 40 yard sprints and notched three receptions in his third game. There is some PPR value for the kid; he just needs to find a Darren Sproles-like role with the Black and Yellow.

#59 Tre Mason – R

The third rounder out of Auburn is planted behind second year stud Zac Stacy. In his short time with in NFL pads, Mason hasn’t made a big enough impact to really inspire fantasy owners to handcuff him to Stacy. His rushing stats in Auburn were gaudy and madden-like, running for 1,816 yards and stomping out 23 touchdowns. Since the tale isn’t always the same straight from school, we can’t invest too much time or focus on what has been. We can be hopeful that Tre Mason works his way into a time share, but for now you can expect Mason to be on the waiver wire until disaster strikes or he starts marching his way into a starting role.

#58 Kniles Davis

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2013 21 KC 16 70 242 4 3.5 11 75 6.8 0 15 3 1

Kniles Davis is a very compelling handcuff to Jamal Charles. On one hand, Davis is one play away from becoming the starting RB.  On the other hand, he could be a non-relevant fantasy player. The main point about Kniles Davis is not to reach for him.  It is nice to have the backup in case of injury, but it is not mandatory.

#57 Bryce Brown

Year Age Team G R-Att Yards TD Avg Rec Yards Avg TD Tar Fum Fum lost
2012 21 Phi 16 115 564 4 4.9 13 56 4.3 0 19 4 3
2013 22 Phi 16 75 314 2 4.2 8 84 11 0 13 0 0

Bryce Brown was buried on the depth chart in Philadelphia, so his trade would seem to be a good move for him.  Well, he moved from third on the depth chart to third on the depth chart. However, we have seen that the bills RBs (Spiller, Jackson) are less then iron men.  He will have a chance at some point to be at least two on the chart this year.  If he can prove himself a capable back there may be room for him going forward.  Taking him will be a reach in all but the deepest leagues.  Just keep him in mind when one of the Bills backs get hurt. Yes I said when, there are no ifs about it.

#56 Andre Williams – R

I know, I have told you to stay away from anyone on the offense of the New York Giants. I know he is as of now third on the depth chart at the running back position for the Giants. Here comes the but, Williams can flat out run the ball. He had over 2,000 rushing yards last year at Boston College. No, that is not a misprint. I mean 2,000 yards!!!! He also found the end-zone 18 times last season. The Giants will need playmakers on this team and this kid is one of them. He will be given chances and history tells us he will make them pay. So take a flyer on the kid in the later rounds and thank us for the advice later.
