Fantasy Wide Receiver Rankings 40-36
#40 Tavon Austin
Year | Age | Team | G | REC | Yards | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2013 | 22 | StL | 13 | 40 | 418 | 4 | 69 | 4 | 1 |
If your league is big on all-purpose yardage, Tavon Austin is your go to WR/Flex pick. The Rams utilize him in their offense as both a rushing back and a receiver to throw to from the pocket as he added 151 yards and a TD rushing last year. He also took part in the punt and kickoff return game. He was fresh out of college and is continuing his game in Saint Louis, don’t be the one to sleep on this guy.

#39 Kenny Stills
Year | Age | Team | G | REC | Yards | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2013 | 21 | NO | 16 | 32 | 641 | 5 | 50 | 0 | 0 |
Kenny Stills had a solid rookie season racking up over 600 yards and 5 touchdowns as he developed into a deep threat for the Saints. With the departure of Lance Moore, Stills is poised to become the team’s number two receiver. With the addition of Brandin Cooks as well as established targets Colston and Graham, Stills could still be inconsistent putting up big numbers some weeks while being absent in others. Stills has dynasty value and could go from being a solid backup to a starter if he is targeted on a regular basis.

#38 Julian Edelman
Year | Age | Team | G | REC | Yards | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2011 | 25 | NE | 13 | 4 | 34 | 0 | 8 | 3 | 1 |
2012 | 26 | NE | 9 | 21 | 235 | 3 | 32 | 1 | 1 |
2013 | 27 | NE | 16 | 105 | 1056 | 6 | 151 | 6 | 0 |
Julian Edelman should be a PPR monster this year. The fifth year veteran racked up 105 receptions last year, which was good for 4th best in the league. Hope lies in the fact that the Patriots only move to bolster their receiving options this year was in former Carolina Panther Brandon Lafell, which leaves no one shaking in their boots. Danny Amendoa reaffirmed his fragile man status, and second year receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins do not hold a candle to the affection that Tom Brady and Edelman share. The only bug in the romance is the return of Rob Gronkowski, but Brady still knows how to pepper the ball across the field.

#37 Cecil Shorts
Year | Age | Team | G | REC | Yards | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2011 | 23 | Jac | 10 | 2 | 30 | 1 | 11 | 0 | 0 |
2012 | 24 | Jac | 14 | 55 | 979 | 7 | 105 | 1 | 1 |
2013 | 25 | Jax | 13 | 66 | 777 | 3 | 124 | 0 | 0 |
Injury report regular, Cecil Shorts, failed to maintain success in his 2013 campaign. A year removed from a near 1,000 yard season, Shorts looks to be completely wrapped in sports tape to avoid injury, of any sort and prove to the Jaguars that they can be successful without the talented, but conflicted Justin Blackmon. First, he’ll have to recover from his current injury bug (hamstring), and get back on page with Chad Henne, or develop a new romance with Blake Bortles. The intangibles are there, Cecil just needs to stay out on the field to make a return on any investments.

#36 Kendall Wright
Year | Age | Team | G | REC | Yards | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2012 | 22 | Ten | 15 | 64 | 626 | 4 | 104 | 1 | 1 |
2013 | 23 | Ten | 16 | 94 | 1079 | 2 | 139 | 2 | 0 |
I love him!!! This third year player is becoming a reliable receiver for the Titans. He broke the 1,000 yard barrier last year and did it in less than 100 receptions. His numbers went up from his rookie season and the best is yet to come. His biggest weakness was only crossing the goal line twice for the entire year. You have to believe as he becomes more and more of a focal point of this offense that number will go up as well. A great value where he is going in drafts as of now make this player a must buy. He is the reason why you can go for running backs early because he will be sitting there for you in the mid rounds. The new system should only make this player more desirable for fantasy players looking for the edge.
