James has narrowed down his search recently to Miami and Cleveland. Miami was thought to have the initial edge, but ended up just like they did in the 2014 NBA Finals: runner-up. James will look to bring the organization it’s first NBA championship.
The decision to either re-sign with Miami or go back to the Cavaliers had fans on social media and in Cleveland at a fever pitch. Free agency rumors change by the second, everyone looking for the first major move to occur. Fans not only waited on Twitter and LeBronJames.com to find out- they were outside his house in droves. James was in Las Vegas all Thursday at his skills camp, then flew to Miami right before 12 A.M. eastern. James prepared by having at least five policeman outside his house.
James’ decision directly affects that of his former Heat teammate, Chris Bosh. This week, Bosh stated he would join the Houston Rockets for 4 years/$88 million if James departed for Cleveland.
Next up on LeBron’s schedule: the World Cup. He will be at the final between Germany and Argentina on Sunday in Brazil. Stayed tuned to Last Word on Sports for all your NBA free agency news and opinions.
