Game 1: Renaissance Granite and Quartz (4-3) 128, Coca Cola Atlantic Bottling (2-5) 114
A total team effort from Renaissance Granite was able to get them out of a three game losing streak.
Iowa State Walk-on Kourtlin Jackson (RGQ-Iowa State So.) has impressed many Capital City League fans this year with his dunks and ability to make tough shots. Jackson dominated the game throwing down 45 points and added nine rebounds to cap off the night.
Georges Niang (RGQ-Iowa State Jr.) finished with his first under 30 point game, but managed to grab a solid 29 points. Chad Boston (RGQ-Ex Simson) and Ben Swanson (RGQ-Valley HS Sr.) had crowd pleasing three pointers to bring momentum back to the Renaissance side.
Game 2: ADIO Chiropractic (5-2) 125, Phoenix Renewable Resources (2-5) 116
Matt Thomas (ADIO-Iowa State So.) and Monte Morris (ADIO-Iowa State So.) returning to the basketball scene has dramatically helped ADIO this season. The chiropractic squad has gained their fifth straight victory.
Both Thomas and Morris had 30+ points while Kale Abrahamson (ADIO-Drake ’15) had 27 to help the team to another win.
Morris set the YCCL record for most assists in a game with 24 last Friday, and had 12 on Sunday. He was the 2013-14 NCAA leader in Assist to Turnover Ratio.
Game 3: Walnut Creek YMCA (6-1) 134, Capital Orthopedics (3-4) 110
Jameel McKay (YMCA-Iowa State Jr. *eligible Dec. 20) has shown he can dunk to the YCCL fans all season, but really showed his stuff on Sunday gaining 8+ dunks and tallying 40 points leading his team to a win.
McKay had a few lobs from his teammate Hallice Cooke. (YMCA-Iowa State ’15 So.) Cooke grabbed himself 32 points with eight assists to seal YMCA’s 6th straight win.

5:30pm: Pheonix RR (2-5) vs. Renaissance Granite (4-3)
6:45pm: Coca Cola (2-5) vs. Capital Ortho (3-4)
8:00pm: ADIO (5-2) vs. YMCA (6-1)
What to watch for
G1: Phoenix is in a tough spot for the playoffs and will need a win if they want a first round bye.
G2: If a Coca Cola can beat Capital Orthopedics, they will earn a first round bye in the playoffs, they could earn a bye for the first round depending on the score.
G3: Two 5+ game winning streaks are on the line in Wednesday’s prime time games.
