A look back at Vickie Guerrero's run in the WWE

This past Monday saw the end of Vickie Guerrero in the WWE. While it was to be expected, with her contract recently expiring and Vickie not interested in extending her stay, it was still a moment the WWE Universe will remember.

Spending the majority of her stay in the company as a heel-type manager or general manager, Vickie’s coup de grace was a loss to Stephanie McMahon in a match with the stipulation set of whoever gets dumped into a pool of slop first, loses. It took the help of Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendez and Layla, who all ended up being thrown into the mud by Vickie. As Vickie celebrated dumping three women and embarrassing them in front of the Nation’s capital, Stephanie snuck up from behind and knocked Vickie in, cementing her release in the WWE.

As Vickie stood there, a woman without a job in the company, she turned around and dumped Stephanie into the mud, much to the delight of the crowd. With that, the late Eddie Guerrero’s theme blasted on the speakers and the last image we saw of Vickie was her paying tribute to Eddie by doing his dance and then blowing a kiss to the Heavens.

Paying tribute to the woman that gave us laughs and for the most part, made us roll our eyes and block our ears, here is a top 5 compilation of some of the greatest moments involving The Cougar, Vickie Guerrero.

5. Vickie Guerrero vs. Chris Jericho in an “EXCUSE ME” battle
Smackdown – August 10th, 2012

What was supposed to be an episode of Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel, featuring Jericho’s feud buddy at the time, Dolph Ziggler as the guest, Vickie Guerrero instead came out to enlighten Jericho and work as Ziggler’s messenger. It didn’t take long before things went South and the peak of the shows hilarity came when Vickie took exception to the jokes being made about the age difference between herself and Ziggler. After delivering her Excuse Me? catchphrase, Jericho responded with an Excuse Me? of his own. The two raised their voices as they continued to deliver the line before Jericho had to stop himself, stepping to the side and letting out a laugh.

4. Vickie brings back The Undertaker
Smackdown – July 25th, 2008

Back when Vickie Guerrero was with Edge, their relationship went so far that they were planning their wedding. The head of La Familia had their plans set and even included a wedding planner. Unfortunately for Edge, he was caught with the wedding planner — who turned out to later be Alicia Fox — on a hidden camera. The two were seen making out on a couch, which led to Vickie calling the whole thing off. When Edge attempted a public apology, Vickie turned that down too and instead re-instated The Undertaker. If that wasn’t bad enough for the Rated R Superstar, Vickie then revealed Edge would face The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match at Summerslam.

3. The night the crowd wouldn’t let Vickie speak
Raw – December 20th, 2010

It’s not uncommon for Vickie to find herself at the butt-end of jokes. Fat jokes, in particular. However when Vickie came out to confront Jerry Lawler and get an apology, she instead received more insults directed her way by not only Lawler, but John Cena himself. All jokes aside, it was the crowd that made this segment what it was when they repeatedly booed Vickie every time she attempted to talk, drowning out her voice completely. Honorable mention to CM Punk, who was on the commentary team at the time, showing absolute disgust at the fat jokes. Guess he was the only one that remembered to Be A Star.

2. The Rock sings to Vickie
Raw – January 7th, 2013

The Rock has provided several concerts later in his career that has provided for countless moments of laughter. From singing about leaving Sacramento to going over John Cena’s divorce during his rendition of Cleveland Rocks, Rock Concerts have never disappointed. His latest moment came when Rock covered an Eric Clapton classic and brought out Vickie. It started off beautiful, making Vickie smile and blush but by the time the chorus played, that smile turned to a frown and suddenly, a song about beauty became a song about Vickie dressing like a cheap hooker and looking horrible. The moment brought the entire arena and the commentary team to tears as they laughed. Like a true sport, Vickie took it in stride.

1. Vickie Guerrero performs her late husband’s Frog Splash
Wrestlemania XXVI – March 28th, 2010

To hold a victory at Wrestlemania looks very nice on one’s resume. Luckily for Vickie, she can proudly say she has one of those on her belt when she picked up a pinfall over Kelly Kelly. It was a 10-Diva Tag Team match that pitted Vickie on a team with Alicia Fox, Maryse, and LayCool — Michelle McCool and Layla. The match came to an end when Vickie, helped by McCool, climbed to the top rope and delivered a Frog Splash in honor of her late husband Eddy Guerrero, the successfully pick up the win over Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim and Eve Torres. It was one of those moments where even if it was a bit of comic relief to watch Vickie tumble off the top rope, it was still a nice picture to see Vickie point to the skies before landing on Kelly Kelly.
