We at LWOS are always looking for new and innovative ways to bring our fans more coverage of the sports they love. And so today we bring our loyal readers and listeners Episode #8 of our hockey podcast, “Tape to Tape” featuring LWOS Hockey Analysts, Chicago-native brothers Dom and Cristian Simonetta.
Stanley Cup Final Game 2 Preview
This week’s episode continues the “Stanley Cup Edition” of the podcast which will be previewing and recapping the series as a whole, and a new episode will air before every game between the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings as they battle for Lord Stanley’s mug.
Episode 8 starts off with the brothers discussing Game 1 of the Cup Final by analyzing how the Kings were able to defeat the Rangers in overtime by a score of 3-2. Then, Justin Williams’ heroic postseason efforts are highlighted as well as Rick Nash’s inability to provide offense for the Blueshirts.
Dom and Cristian then discuss the players who they believe have the ability to change the momentum of the series, and which players will be key for their club to win Game 2. Also, key factors for both sides are mentioned which include net-front presence for New York and more timely hits for the Kings. In the end, the two provide their predictions for the game as well.
