During game six of the Eastern Conference Final, Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers tried to get into the head of Lebron James of the Miami Heat, putting his hand in the face of the NBA’s best player.
The battle between the two players has been going on all series, and many thought the mind games reached their peak with Lance Stephenson blowing in the ear of James during game five of the series. After the game Larry Bird told Stephenson to knock off the antics and to “stop trolling.” It obviously didn’t happen.
All the mind games didn’t work though as James and the Heat defeated Stephenson’s Pacers in game six 117-92, to take the series 4-2. The win is the second straight year that the Heat have knocked the Pacers out of the playoffs in the Eastern Final, and a fourth straight trip to the NBA Finals since the Heat assembled the Big Three.
The Heat will wait for the winner of the Oklahoma City and San Antonio Series to see who they will face for the NBA Championship. The Spurs lead the series 3 games to 2.
