Banned – In a Word – P.K. Subban, Earl Thomas, Adam Silver & More
In a Word is week in sports recap column that recaps the major stories of the past week, in one word.
Racism and stupidity were in the news this week. In Europe, some soccer fans acted like Sterling. Here in the USA, a few fans from the Boston Bruins acted like morons by writing racist Tweets against Montreal Canadians player P.K. Subban.
In the US, luckily, action was taken to silence one racist and hockey fans rallied to condemn the few racist fans that showed how stupid they are.
We also said goodbye to one NBA coach who just couldn’t hack it with one of the NBA’s most storied franchises.
Here you go.
Earl Thomas – Exten$ion
Pittsburgh Penguins – Malkin
Miami Heat – Next
Adam Silver – Authoritative
Donald Sterling – Condemned
Spanish soccer fans – Sterlinglike
Mike D’Antoni – Bye
Jameis Winston – Dimmest
LA Clippers for Sale? – OWN
San Jose Sharks – Historic
P.K. Subban – Honorable
Aaron Hernandez – Imbecile
Vince Young – Comeback?
Kentucky Derby – Chrome
Kevin Durant – King
Floyd Mayweather Jr. – Unification
Next week’s big event is the 2014 NFL draft. It should be exciting to see who the top 32 picks will be? Where will Johnny Manziel end up and will the Minnesota Vikings take a quarterback? I will be looking for the answer to those questions and I’m sure that the NFL draft will make next week’s column.
Enjoy the week in sports that lies ahead.
