Each team knows who they’re playing, but the NFL can drum up frothing excitement doing anything. So what would it hurt to turn a mundane exercise of slotting game times into a three-hour event? It’s football. And here I am sitting on the edge of my recliner with all the usual questions running through my mind:
“How many national games do they get?” (Answer: Five. A surprising number of high-profile games for a team that finished a game under .500.)
“When’s the bye week?” (Answer: Week 8, which just so happens to be placed perfectly before a murderous November.)
“When do we get the ball rolling?” (Answer: I thought I’d never ask.)

Talented and oft-troubled safety Will Hill found himself in the news again after allegedly failing another drug test. And it sounds like the Giants have had their fill of the budding star.
The likely end is an extremely disappointing development for both the team and the player. Hill, an undrafted free agent out of Florida seemed to be the diamond-in-the-rough player that the Giants were looking for at safety ever since Kenny Phillips.
Unfortunately, this would be the third drug-related offense by the 24 year-old, and it’s clear that he has issues that extend far beyond the field.
