Chad Johnson, aka Chad Ochocinco, aka Chad Quatre-Vingt-Cinq, has officially signed a two-year contract to play in the CFL for the Montreal Alouettes, after working out for the team this week in Florida.
This deal has been about a month in the making since Johnson first expressed a desire to continue his professional football career in the Canadian League. Via his twitter feed, (@ochocinco) News broke about a month ago that Johnson wanted to play in the CFL for the B.C. Lions. Soon afterwards, further news broke that the Alouettes had put the former Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots star on their exclusive-rights negotiation list.
The Montreal Alouettes broke the news that the signing was official via the team’s official twitter account.
