Football is a behemoth. We inhale it. We devour it. We even don’t care if the games count or not. With this in mind, it’s always a welcome sight to see even the pre-season games announced. The New York Giants and Buffalo Bills get a head start on the rest of the league, as they will open the drive to the Super Bowl on Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio for the Hall of Fame Game on NBC.
Its a re-match of Superbowl XXV, and former Giant Michael Strahan, and former Bill Andre Reed are a part of this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Class. Walter Jones, Aeneas Williams, Ray Guy, Derrick Brooks, and Claude Humphrey are also part of the distinguished class.
The remainder of New York Giants preseason schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: Vs. Pittsburgh (Date and time TBD)
- Week 2: @ Indianapolis (Date and time TBD)
- Week 3: @ New York Jets (Date and time TBD)
- Week 4: Vs. New England (Aug. 28; time TBD)
For those of you waiting for the regular season schedule, it’s slated to be released “sometime in April.” And if you’re curious about who is on the 2014 regular-season schedule, here are the splits:
- HOME: Dallas; Philadelphia; Washington; Atlanta; Arizona; San Francisco; Houston; Indianapolis
- AWAY: Dallas; Philadelphia; Washington; Detroit; St. Louis; Seattle; Jacksonville; Tennessee
