We at LastWordOnSports are pleased to be partnered with what we feel is a fantastic baseball podcast – Bases Loaded.eu. Not only is it informative, lively and topical, but it has a certain European twist we think you will appreciate. Happy listening!
Today’s Episode:
In episode 26 Andy, Gary & Mark are joined by forum member Bryan Mullin (Manchester Mariner) to preview AL West with a close look at Bryan’s Seattle Mariners and all the changes they have made this off-season. Do the additions headlined by second baseman Robinson Cano, and his mega-contract, allow the Mariners to compete with the A’s, Angels, and Rangers in the division? Can the Houston Astros start down the path to respectability? The lads also discuss the success of the Dodgers – D’Backs series in Sydney, Australia and speculate if we have any chance of seeing a future regular season series on this side of the pond or are the complaints from some about the timing of the baseball down under too much to overcome? There is the usual look at the remaining free agents and a quick walk down the queue awaiting Tommy John surgery, which seems to be the new epidemic in MLB. As the season approaches the podcasts get more frequent so check back here often – hope you enjoy.
