This week’s edition of Follow The Tweeters is in! In a week where PVR’in both shows worked wonders for me (having watched only one hour out of five live), your tweets kept me more entertained than the actual product. What did you guys think of Batista this week? Did the Yes Movement continue running strong or did it “Trip” up a bit? Like Justice being served on a weekly basis, here are your tweets from this week’s Raw and Smackdown.

The question now is; Will Batista show up on Raw, the night after Wrestlemania 30, to go on a hissy fit and then yell “I QUIT!” like he did four years ago? Will he have the oxygen to be able to yell, especially after a lengthy match the night before?
For all the flack he gets though, I hope he has a good showing with Randy Orton and (possibly) Daniel Bryan.

I feel like there’s a Jaws reference to be had here. His victim is that defenseless woman in a bikini, treading waters carelessly when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, in comes the European Uppercut! If only we could have that slow, intense build-up music as Cesaro sets up the move.

It doesn’t really suit him. Maybe the element of surprise of seeing him with that much hair for the first time is what weirded everyone out, but personally I think he looks better with a crew cut. I also hope this is not a long term thing, appearing with Sheamus at ring side and that this was just a “treat” for St. Paddy’s Day. We have seen enough of big, strong Irish dude together with Hornswoggle. Remember when Sheamus was heel and he was targeting Hornswoggle?

You know it will be. Out of 30 men, five will be dominant wrestlers such as Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler and Big E, with the rest of the competitors being jobbers. A surprise entrant or two, like RVD and Jericho maybe? That’s what I see going down.

Absolutely brilliant stuff! Not even just this line but the entire promo altogether. In reference to this one liner though, Bray Wyatt actually apologized to Nikki Bella before the promo aired, as a sign of respect. Nikki spent an estimated $6,500 on her enhancements and was said to be cool with the comments, stating that she spent money on them and is comfortable with a character playing a role and making a comment about them.

Like it or not, Paul Heyman has the ability to do just this. We all know the deal with Lesnar and his part-time, limited appearance deal. It’s nothing new. What I like is that he is partnered with a manager that can do all the talking for him and actually sell the match to everyone without even seeing one of two participants in the match. All Lesnar needs to do is show up, destroy someone and leave.

I’ve been there before. Screwed up something, my wife hovering over me, her getting into my face and telling me to correct what I have done. It’s not a fun place to be, especially if your wife has the ability to put you in your place and strike fear into your heart with just the tone in her voice. It took them some time but yes, finally it has received attention. I love how the video package shows The Undertaker’s loss of control over matches in the past few years and how they pointed out that with age, his dominance at Wrestlemania is showing less and less.
The WWE can really promote doubt in fans and some might even put money down on Lesnar winning. I just don’t see it happening.

They can sell being faces perfectly fine. Dean Ambrose mocking people backstage and cutting amazing promos can win a crowd over easily, as can Seth Rollins’ wrestling ability in itself, and all Roman Reigns needs to do is Superman Punch or spear someone and the crowd eats it up. They’ll make it as faces just as much as they made it as heels. The turn was something in the works for some time now and the WWE made the decision at the right time. No way can you continue to hold these three down as heels when every city is cheering them.

That’s a fine assessment to make. AJ Lee is a fine wrestler but the WWE has mismanaged her Divas title run ever since her feud with Kaitlyn ended. She’s been losing matches left and right and only seems to be able to win when her Championship is on the line and Tamina Snuka gives her some assistance. The WWE will complete the Total Divas take-over of the Divas division by having Nikki Bella win the Gold. That’s my guess.

Best drop-kick in the company. Rivaled only by Randy Orton. Both these men have amazing vertical leap, it’s a treat to watch them land it when they do. I still can’t get the Ziggler drop-kick to Batista out of my head.

If the WWE knew what to do with the talent that doesn’t get used, I’d be in total agreement. Take a look at Raw for an example. The moment it went to three hours, we saw more filler, more pointless backstage segments, more recaps and ah yes… more commercials. Smackdown is bad enough as a two hour program, recapping Raw every segment. With commercials, Smackdown offers about 45 minutes of actual wrestling. Now if you tell me, “Well Smackdown can bring an extra hour and make it all about wrestling.” You have me sold. Bring back a cruiserweight/light heavyweight division and feature all the talent you have sitting backstage every night. Build up your tag team division and mid-card division. Give the Divas ten minutes instead of five. If you offer that as a plan, I have no problem tuning into Smackdown for three hours.

A perfect rebuttal to this is Bray Wyatt. Is he enormous? No. Does he wear a mask? No. But what he lacks in those departments, he brings a whole other ball-game to the mix. He’s creepy as hell, promo-wise and in-ring wise. He can be scary and intimidating when he chooses to be. His gimmick allows him to come off as more than just a “husky” wrestler. Bray Wyatt is a monster. Maybe not a Kane, but definitely a monster in his own accord.

It’s also quite odd how they both took a major 180 within a year. Ziggler was World Heavyweight Champion and if you blinked, you missed his title run. He then got buried for suffering a concussion because logic. Sandow had all the momentum heading forward, with the briefcase in hand. He put on one hell of a match against Cena, looked great doing so and then… has been buried ever since. Hopefully my colleague over at LWOS is right and these two reach the bright future ahead of them. That is, if the WWE allows them to.

Both Miz and Wade Barrett really need to get back into the ring and wrestle. Five hours of television per week and these two cease to exist outside of a rare segment appearance or delivering some bad news regarding the city’s current situation, while standing on a rising podium.

If you have beef with that, you must hate how John Cena treats any Championship he holds. The way he runs down to the ring, throws it inside before slipping in himself. THANK YOU! I have been saying this for some time now. Her facial expressions are equivalent to a campy slasher movie and she can become quite annoying at times. The thing that bothers me the most though is she is not being used as a wrestler. She had many solid matches in NXT against the likes of Paige and Emma, yet she has only seen the ring a handful of times and has been reduced to back-up dancer status. I’d find her overacting and screeching far less annoying if she was doing it during a match instead of standing by ringside.

Whoops! And this is why Smackdown should follow Raw and go live. When the WWE has the ability to edit shows, they over do it. I don’t mind edited versions of shows being made available on the WWE Network but during the week of their showing, let both shows go live.

If that’s all it takes for a show to suck, the WWE most have been terrible for you for the last decade.
On top of that, what did you expect? John Cena to lose to one of Bray’s men, just weeks before Wrestlemania when he faces Bray Wyatt? How in God’s name does that make any sense? I bet you’d complain if Heath Slater lost to John Cena too, wouldn’t you. Because I fully believe Cena has a chance of beating Bray Wyatt if he can’t even defeat a lesser opponent on a televised show.

I thought he looked great. Jinder and Drew are two wrestlers I would love to see get pushed in the tag team division. They are both good wrestlers and could hold their end of a match, they can even keep their 3MB gimmick. Just give them a little something more than jobber B and jobber C.
