Pass Blocking: C-

Is able to get into his set very quickly. Will occasionally let defenders get around him and does not have great agility to cut off rushers. Lacks an anchor and gets pushed off the ball and will get rag-dolled on occasion by bigger linemen.

Run Blocking: D

Biggest area of weakness. Does not generate movement in the run game and is a positional blocker only. Gets moved off the ball more than anything. Was jacked about a yard off the line of scrimmage in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama and lacks lower body strength. Significantly better on screens and pulls, but does not have elite movement skills to hit every target.

Technique: B-

The area which has allowed him to succeed despite his limitations. Has strong hands and uses them very well, showing the ability to lock out much bigger and stronger defenders. Able to stall defenders who get by him with his hands without drawing a flag. Ends up on the ground far too often.

Intangibles: A

Gives good effort, but does not bury his opponents. Plays smart and does not draw many flags. Has an excellent understanding of the game, and is highly intelligent with strong character traits. Four-year starter and only missed one game in his career due to a head injury. Team captain.

Red Flags: None

Bottom Line: For a good of a collegiate player as Ikard was with the Sooners, his athletic and power limitations will likely expose him in the NFL. Strong intangibles make it likely for him to hook on somewhere, but he is a low ceiling player who offers little position versatility. Pure zone run player.

Comparison: Kristopher O’Dowd

Grade: 7.5 (5th Round)
