Once again another story has flown around speculating that either Arsenal or Bayern Munich are going to trigger Julian Draxler’s release clause in the summer transfer window, which is priced at a whopping £40 million! So the real questions that everyone is thinking is, Is he really worth it and will it be Arsenal or Bayern?
Julian Draxler is one of the most exciting young prospects to have come about in years. The young midfielder loves to play out wide and loves to drive the defence back and score as many goals as possible. Although despite gooners being disappointed at players which the club have been linked with and haven’t come *cough* Luis Suarez *cough*. Having been scouted and linked with Arsenal for years now, the rumours are easy to believe. Wenger believing that with the right team, Draxler will easily to become one of the world’s greatest attacking midfielder that has stepped onto the Premier League stage. Maybe the influx of Germans in the Arsenal team might persuade him to join.
“I have always said English teams are very big clubs and Arsenal is of course one of them,” he said.
“Of course I sometimes speak to Mesut [Ozil] or Per [Mertesacker] about the team, about the club, and they always have good words and they tell me nice things.
“You never know what happens in the summer but Arsenal is a very, very nice team. They always have very young players, they play attractive football and that’s what I like.”
However the January transfer has been and gone and the signs have seemed to change. Champions’ league winners Bayern Munich seem to have the green light for the youngster as manager Pep Guardiola told Julian to wait until the end of the season and ‘’consider his options’’. The question is with Bayern already signing Robert Lewandowski, do they really need him? Will Bayern actually play him or will he just be an impact sub whereas at Arsenal he’d more than likely play every week and would prove how good he actually is. Let’s be honest there is no real competition in the German league as Dortmund are slowly deteriorating as Bayern seem to be robbing their best players where Arsenal have competition every week, will he be able to deliver the goods on a cold rainy night in Stoke.
