Redskins fans knew this was coming and shouldn’t be surprised at the news. It would be breaking news if RGIII wasn’t cleared to play week one against the Eagles. But for those who don’t know, RGIII is going to start week 1 and the meeting with Dr. James Andrews is just a formality according to Adam Shefter.
This is great news for the Washington Redskins, the fans, and the NFL. Last night, ESPN showed a documentary on Robert Griffin III and watching it gave me promise and showed everyone how hard of a worker he is and how dedicated he was on coming back. Redskins fans, we can breathe again, our starting quarterback is back! I will not give him a pass come Monday night, he wanted to play, so when he steps on the field and takes his first snap he should show some rust but he should lose that rust after a pass or two then go back to the RGIII we all know and love. That is what is expected.
I know that that’s a little rough but he wanted to play, he wanted to be out there and said he’s healthy enough to do so. If healthy for a full 16 games, then I agree with what Heath Evens said one day when he commented, “If RGIII is healthy for 16 games than no offense can keep up with the Redskins offense.” That is completely true, if you look at the offensive stats last season they were a to- five offense, and top five in scoring. And when you look at the record when RGIII had Garcon in the line-up they were 9-1.
