On Thursday night’s episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, the #August1Warning revealed himself at the end of the episode. The guy everyone was waiting to see (many of us knew who the mystery man was) is MMA legend and former UFC champion Tito Ortiz. I like it and will tell you why.
It gets TNA Wrestling’s name out there as Twitter was blowing up after Impact Wrestling went off the air. Tito Ortiz and #TNA was trending so no matter what, I like it as it has got people talking about Tito Ortiz being in TNA.
And this is not Ortiz’s first time working for TNA Wrestling. At Hard Justice in 2005, Ortiz was Special Guest Referee for a match between AJ Styles and NWA World Heavyweight champion Jeff Jarrett. The Huntington Beach Bad Boy knocked out Jarrett to allow Styles to get the pin and win the NWA World title that night. It was only a one shot deal to referee on PPV back then and as far as I know, Tito has never wrestled a pro wrestling match. I’m looking forward to Tito Ortiz’ future in TNA and see where this all goes.
