Sidney Crosby takes first full contact practice since December

Sidney Crosby’s concussion-like symptoms have finally subsided and his return to NHL action is getting closer.  Crosby’s doctors have cleared him for contact and Sid the Kid has once again begun full practices with the Penguins.  While it remains unclear exactly when he’ll be ready for game action again no one expects it to take 6 weeks like when he was first cleared for contact in October 2011.  Sid says there is no chance he plays this week however.

Obviously Sid’s return would be huge for the Penguins and they’d be adding the best player in hockey just in time for the playoffs.

We’ll keep you updated as more news breaks.

…and that is the last word.
