Bo Wallace and Rebels Start Slow, Roll Late

Ole Miss holds high hopes of crashing the upper division stronghold in the SEC. Early on against Boise State, the Rebels were just trying to survive Week 1. In the end, Ole Miss shook off a sluggish start to break away from Boise State in the fourth quarter and defeat the Broncos 35-13 as Bo Wallace shook off three first half interceptions to toss four TD’s and 386 yards. The Rebels picked off Grant Hedrick four times in holding the Broncos out of the endzone until the game was decided. Despite the lopsided win, there is plenty to pick apart. Wallace’s inconsistent play has now carried into his Senior season. A 44-30 TD to INT ratio must improve for Ole Miss to challenge the elite. The offensive line’s showing was much worse as the boys up front were flagged for seven false starts and could muster just 70 rushing yards on 33 attempts despite an obvious size advantage and perceived talent edge. Mark Rogers sizes up Rebels good and Rebels bad from opening night
