The Motorsports Weekend – Pocono, Texas, Eldora, and the Canadian GP

As the Sprint Cup charges to Pocono with the ARCA Series, IndyCar will take a trip to Texas. Formula 1 gets back into North America at the Grand Prix of Canada and the World of Outlaws Late models travel to Eldora. It’s all in this week’s Motorsports Weekend.

Sprint Cup at Pocono

Qualifying: Friday at 4:40pm EST on FS1
Race: Sunday at 1:00pm EST on FS1
Previous winner: Jimmie Johnson (June), Kasey Kahne (August)

As Hendrick Motorsports (and Jimmie Johnson) have been on the roll the past few weeks, NASCAR’s top circuit will travel to Pocono; a track where Hendrick’s drivers have been dominating their whole careers. Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne were last year’s Pocono winners, but in the August race the year before, another Hendrick Driver took the win. That was Jeff Gordon who has the most wins at track of any active drivers. As Hendrick will go for another win, superstars like Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart will go for a win to secure a Chase Spot.
