El Presidente on Arsenal: #WengerOut or I'm Out

Sorry, it’s got to be said – I officially hate Arsene Wenger.  I feel strongly that Wenger shows nothing but complete contempt for Arsenal fans with his lies, that patronising smirk and the narcissism.  It’s become to much for me to take anymore, and there is a growing list of Gooners lined up in my line with me.

Wenger is in the last year of his multi-million-dollar mega bucks contract, which so far has yet to be renewed.  In the meantime, Arsenal are busy selling everything but the stadium cat . I could easily misconstrue these actions as a business looking to bolster its balance sheet in readiness to sell, but my dreams rarely come true.  So what are Arsenal and Wenger playing at?

I am praying that Wenger’s contract will not be renewed, because should it be under the current circumstances than I will have no alternative but to leave the Emirates until he does go – I really feel that strongly about him now.

I don’t know any other football club, in fact any other club in any sport, that treats its supporters with such greedy contempt. Gooners pay the highest ticket prices in the world, and when you pay the most for something it is usually because it’s the best, or is at least regularly competing for the ultimate prize.  Arsenal have no claim to either major title, and what makes every thing so much worse is the total lack of respect or compassion shown by the club for the best supporters in the world.

No words can begin to explain the utter hatred I feel for what’s being done to the greatest football club in the world , by such a greedy megalomaniac and a Board who have no other agenda than to perpetuate profits at all costs.  This feeling is compounded by our North London rivals’ obvious ambition to finally usurp us in the Premiership, the Champions League and basically as a football club.  If Real Madrid cannot afford Bale, Tottenham will finally finish above Arsenal, of that I have no doubt now!

What I cannot understand is why? what other Premiership manager refuses to buy players when it is so obvious he needs them to challenge for honours?   What other Premiership manager never buys other Premiership players, except in extreme circumstances? What other Premiership manager has such a poor relationship with his own supporters?  Wenger never explains, communicates or simply talks to us, and when he does it’s riddles or lies .

Why would Ivan Gazidis claim or even boast there is at least  £ 70 million to spend on players , then sell or dispatch 17 squad players generating another £ 35 million in saved wages and transfer fees for Wenger to simply not spend a penny ?

Our current squad is simply not good or robust enough to challenge for major honours.  The squad finished 4th last season, was beaten by Bradford and Blackburn, and did not beat a top 4 side, scrapping past Spurs by a very, very lucky solitary point thanks to the decisions we got against Norwich and QPR.

Why does Wenger pretend not to see what the whole world can see?  Or is his dictatorship so single-minded only a home massacre by Spurs on September 1st is going to finally panic him into buying some French rejects from Ligue 2?

It is all so frustrating that I struggle to find the words to express my own contempt now.  Wenger is never properly challenged by his board or the media on his transfer policy.  No ones questioned him about selling 17 players who according to him recently made up his strongest squad ever, or the money wasted on Sebastian Squillaci, Andrei Arshavin, Andre Santos, and Gervhinio , yet they allow him to constantly bang on about only buying the right players that will improve Arsenal Football Club .  It’s nothing but a complete contradiction of what he is actually achieving. The only person who rightly points this out is ex-player Stewart Robson.

The media constantly hangs managers out to dry and question them about their own futures.  Sky in particular took no prisoners last season with the likes of Brian McDermott, Roberto Mancini, Roberto Di Matteo and especially Rafa Benitez, but Wenger is allowed to just stroll through press conferences and post-match interviews trotting out cliches, pretending he did not see anything while he smirks knowingly. Are the fearless Geoff Shreeves and Bryan Swanson afraid of Wenger like they were of Sir Alex?

For a man who earns over £ 7 million a year and has not won a trophy in 8 seasons, Wenger seems to be in an amazing comfort zone.  Ask yourself, would his record be good enough at Chelsea, Madrid, Man City or, say, Liverpool ? I think not.

So what have us Gooners done to deserve such professional mediocrity , and how much longer can it be allowed to last before the damage becomes irreparable ? I don’t know, because quite simply what is happening at this current time at the Emirates defies all logic.  But what I do know is if Wenger can continue to ignore the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Ashley Williams, Julio Cesar, Leighton Baines, Micah Richards, players of proven Premiership quality, and to then smirk.  There are players out there that we could bring in, he really needs to do that now. It’s the eleventh hour and our backs are to the wall.

My time is over at Arsenal until Wenger goes.  Whatever Wenger achieves now I will never forgive or forget his contempt for me or my fellow Gooners, and there are many who now feel the same.

WENGER OUT NOW!
