Felix Auger-Aliassime in action ahead of ATP Den Bosch.

ATP Den Bosch Quarterfinal Predictions Including Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Kamil Majchrzak

One quarterfinal match is still unknown as the last two second-round matches were interrupted due to rain at the ATP Den Bosch Open, but the remaining quarterfinals are set with a former champion and top seed headlining the day’s play in the Netherlands. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for all the matches, but which players will advance to the semifinals?

ATP Den Bosch Quarterfinal Predictions

Zhang Zhizhen vs Adrian Mannarino

Head-to-head: Zhang 1-1 Mannarino

Zhang Zhizhen scored his best win in some time by defeating home hope Tallon Griekspoor in straight sets in the round of 16 to back up his opeing ATP Den Bosch win over Jenson Brooksby. It hasn’t been easy for the Chinese player since returning from injury, but this win will surely have given him a lot of confidence heading into the rest of the grass-court season

However, that might be as good it gets for Zhang, at least this week. 2019 champion Adrian Mannarino has an excellent record at this tournament – this will be his sixth quarterfinal – and he has looked sharp in reaching it with wins over hard-hitting opposition in Gabriel Diallo and his countryman Arthur Rinderknech, the fourth seed in Den Bosch. He has an effective game for grass courts, and Zhang will struggle to deal with it.

Prediction: Mannarino in 3

Alex de Minaur vs Benjamin Bonzi

Head-to-head: de Minaur 3-1 Bonzi

Second seed Alex de Minaur defeated Martin Damm in two tight sets to open his account at ATP Den Bosch after a first-round bye and will be playing in his fourth quarterfinal appearance on the grass courts in Rosmalen. It has been an average season for the Australian by his standards, if not a shade below that, but a title this week would make it significantly better with Wimbledon looming large on the horizon. However, the matches are going to get tougher with each round, and Benjamin Bonzi is good enough to cause an upset. Still, de Minaur’s return quality and retrieving skills should give him the edge in what looks like being a close battle.

Prediction: de Minaur in 3

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Kamil Majchrzak

Head-to-Head: first meeting

World #4 Felix Auger Aliassime was visibly upset in the press conference after his quarterfinal loss at the French Open, but he seemed in a good mood after defeating Marton Fucsovics in the second round and should be able to look back on his efforts at Roland Garros with a degree of satisfaction. He also plays some of his best tennis in the Netherlands and will be looking to win his first ATP title on grass. Kamil Majchrak made light work of James McCabe in the second round and looks in good form. He can make this interesting, but the Canadian should come out on top eventually.

Prediction: Auger-Aliassime in 3
