Anhelina Kalinina will contest the WTA Rabat final.

WTA Hamburg Day 3 Predictions Including Anhelina Kalinina vs Maria Lourdes Carle

The WTA 250 event in Hamburg this week is place in a somewhat awkward part of the WTA calendar, what with it being a clay event right between Wimbledon and the U.S. hard court season. As such, the field isn’t exactly the strongest on paper, but at the same time it has been providing many close and exciting matches, with many players believing they can go deep this week or even win a title.

WTA Hamburg Day 3 Predictions

Tessa Johanna Brockmann vs Elsa Jacquemot

Head-to-head: first meeting

Brockmann might have the home advantage here but, even if she is ranked outside of the Top 100 herself, Jacquemot is definitely the better and more consistent player of the two here and she should be able to take advantage of this draw to at least win a match and snap the bad streak of results she has been on lately.
Prediction: Jacquemot in 2

Alina Charaeva vs Sinja Kraus

Head-to-head: first meeting

While the two players are quite evenly matched in general, Kraus has been on a roll lately, with a fantastic run in Kitzbuhel to win the title there, followed by a first round win here in Hamburg. Given how well she has been playing and the confidence that she will surely be riding at the moment, she should have the edge here.
Prediction: Kraus in 3

Tamara Korpatsch vs Julia Stusek

Head-to-head: first meeting

On paper, this is a very one-sided matchup, with the World #81 taking on the World #435. On paper, Stusek should be clearly out of her depth at this level and not really have the weapons to really compete here. The crowd will be happy to see this duel between two German players, but it Korpatsch should have the edge at this point in their respective careers.
Prediction: Korpatsch in 2

Anhelina Kalinina vs Maria Lourdes Carle

Head-to-head: first meeting

Kalinina is the second seed in this tournament and has an excellent chance to win the title if she can play close to her best this week. On paper, this match should be a mismatch against the World #231, with Kalinina very likely to go through without many hiccups here.
Prediction: Kalinina in 3
