It is crunch time at the ATP Adelaide Open 2025 with just four players remaining in contention for the trophy. Three of the top five seeds have reached the semifinals and it promises to be a fantastic last couple of days. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict both semifinal clashes for you.
ATP Adelaide Semifinals Predictions
Miomir Kecmanovic vs Sebastian Korda
Head-to-head: Kecmanovic 1-0 Korda
Sebastian Korda has reached the semifinals having played only one match this week. He was lucky to get a walkover in his quarterfinal match and the American should be very well rested for his match. Korda did lose to Miomir Kecmanovic in the sole previous meeting but that was two years ago and a lot has changed since.
Kecmanovic has rolled through this week, notching up three wins without dropping a set but none of his opponents have been at the level of Korda who is a pretty solid baseliner. Expect Kecmanovic to put up a valiant fight but the American has more firepower on his serve and groundstrokes to get the win.
Prediction: Korda in 3
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Tommy Paul
Head-to-head: Auger-Aliassime 1-0 Paul
This should be a blockbuster contest. Felix Auger-Aliassime did have to fight a little bit in his quarterfinal clash but the Canadian’s quality was right up there and he closed it out in straight sets. He now faces top seed this week in Tommy Paul who had a pretty straight forward win in his last eight encounter.
Both players like to hang back at the baseline so it will be interesting to see who takes the initiative to rush the net. Paul has a decent serve but the Canadian’s serve does hold more power and variety and that can prove crucial in the latter stages of the match. Expect Paul to be very competitive but Auger-Aliassime looks somewhat his 2022 self and should just scrape by.
Prediction: Auger-Aliassime in 3
