Forge FC have announced the club has signed Swedish midfielder Alexander Achinioti Jönsson. While the terms have been secured, Achinioti Jönsson’s addition to the squad is “pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and necessary work visa documentation”.
What to expect from Alexander Achinioti Jönsson?
“Alexander comes to us not only at a very good football age, but coupled with considerable experience at the highest levels of Swedish football. He will bring very good ball winning qualities and a relentless work ethic to our midfield.”

Achinioti Jönsson has a great mix of youth — at 22, he’s an ideal age — but also has over 100 matches under his belt having played in the top Swedish Allsvenskan and Superettan leagues. For IFK Varnamo in 2018, the stalwart chipped in scoring six goals and posting one assist (32 matches).
The Hittarp, Sweden native has also featured at Helsingborgs IF (2012-17) and Hittarps IK (2011-12) throughout his career. He brings experience having represented Sweden at the under-19 international level.
