This week, on the Raising Bulls podcast, we breakdown all the latest results from the New York Red Bulls II preseason. With all of the matches behind close doors, we have to settle for seeing who is getting minutes for the USL side leading up to opening day. While there are still some very familiar faces, the team has changed quite a bit in the offseason.

We also discuss how Derrick Etienne Jr. and Aaron Long are fitting into the first team. Both players have played significant roles in the Red Bulls first two games. But will they be able to sustain success at the next level?

Then we are joined by RBII midfielder/forward Florian Valot. Florian was generous to share with us his thoughts on last year’s championship run and what expectations might be for the coming season. He also touched on what differences the US and Europe have in the academy system, and just how he ended up with the Red Bulls. It was a pleasure to speak to him.
Finally, we finish up discussing the current goalkeeper situation and recap the players returning from last year’s championship side.

P.S. You can now send us questions directly to [email protected] and we will be sure to answer them the best we can. Thanks for listening!
