Reports are running rampant that Eva Marie will be returning to WWE as soon as this week. Cultaholic had it first with an exclusive that the former “Total Divas” star would be returning to WWE and it could be as soon as Monday night on Raw. PWInsider followed up with their own reports, adding fuel to the fire. PWInsider stated that she is currently in Orlando for this week’s tapings, having already gone through her testing and could be ready to go. They further said that the contract between the two parties came together back in September.
While there is no word on what her role will be in her return, one would have to assume that it will be to wrestle once again. Marie had a unique relationship with the audience of WWE, usually being the most booed anytime she did appear, especially on SmackDown before her departure. The last time anyone saw her was on SmackDown, as she continuously refused to compete through being late for her match, having a wardrobe malfunction, and other nonsense.
Her biggest role in the company was being a reality TV star more than a wrestler, as she was on the original cast of the TV show, “Total Divas.” It was there that she let people into her life and was able to really craft her character more than any time she was on Raw, SmackDown, or NXT.
It’ll be interesting to see if she enters the Raw battle royal to decide the No. 1 contender of the Asuka‘s Raw Women’s Championship or at the very least, the draft pool. “All Red Everything” is back. That we seem to know for sure.
