#AndNEW: Thunder Rosa Captures Japanese Gold

US indie star Thunder Rosa, who has become one of the stars of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) reboot, has finally struck gold in her excursions to Japan, winning the Tokyo Joshi Pro International Princess Championship from Maki Ito at TJP New Year’s Dish Pro Wrestling event in Tokyo on Sunday night.

Thunder Rosa has been a staple on the US and international indie scene for years, including a two-year stint with Stardom from 2015 to 2016, as well as successful runs with the likes of SHIMMER, Shine Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and Lucha Underground. As well as the NWA, she also currently competes for Women of Wrestling (WOW), and alongside Holidead was a successful tag team with Twisted Sisterz, capturing Shine Tag Team gold in 2018. She made her TJP debut in 2019 and is the first gaijin to hold the International Princess title.
