Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling recently crowned the first-ever International Princess Champion when Natsumi Maki defeated Gisele Shaw to win the companies new midcard title. Unfortunately Maki has lost it in her first defence to Yuna Manase after seemingly getting hurt during the match.

As can be seen from the video of the finish above Maki is favouring her knee before being hit with a lariat for the finish. Dramatic DDT, a fan account dedicated to DDT and it’s sub-brands, confirmed that Maki visually twisted her knee badly. We wish Maki a speedy recovery.

Manase has five years of in ring experience who was trained by Stardom’s Fuka before making her way to Actwres Girl’Z and eventually settling in TJPW. While it may not have been the original plan for her to win the title the 31-year old is more than capable of picking up where Maki left off.
