Luke Harper Makes Live Return Following Injury

Luke Harper

It was a tough break for the Bludgeon Brothers in 2018, when in the midst of their SmackDown Tag Team Championship reign, Erick Rowan went down with a torn bicep and they quickly lost the belts to The New Day last August. As creative began to work on ideas for Luke Harper as a singles competitor, he would remain on the WWE Live Event circuit, including a one-night NXT return to face Ricochet in September for the NXT North American Championship in Buffalo, NY. But it was long before Luke Harper would feel the injury bug as well, going out with a hand injury that ended his 2018 early.

Thankfully, he’s back in action, as he made his first appearance since October 1, 2018 on Saturday night in his hometown of Rochester, NY at a Raw Live Event that saw Harper defeat Mojo Rawley. Harper was back to his Wyatt Family attire and now on the opposite brand as his former tag partner, Rowan, who has now paired as the enforcer for WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.
