The Story So Far: World Of Sport (11/08/18)

The Story So Far: World of Sport is a weekly column that catches you up on the previous weeks of WOS and its storytelling, so if you miss a week (or what to just jump into the show for the first time), you have a summary of where the storylines are at and where they’re headed.

Episode 2 Recap:

Photo: WOS
  • Rampage defeated Joe Hendry to retain the WOS championship, quite a bit of interference from Sha Samuels and CJ Banks.
  • Gabriel Kidd defeated Robbie X, Lionheart and Liam Slater to win a “Big Opportunity”: Great ladder match with X really standing out with his array of offence.
  • Adam Maxted & Nathan Cruz defeated Doug Williams & HT Drake: Maxted and Cruz win after a little rule bending, heel teams are 2 for 2 in the tag tournament so far.
  • Kay Lee Ray defeated Viper and Bea Priestley to win the WOS Women’s Championship: Match of the night which suffered from some bad camera cuts and a WWE-esque focus on making history.

What’s in Store for Episode 3?

Gabriel Kidd’s “Massive Opportunity”:

We don’t have to wait long to see what Kidd won as he get’s his reward next week.  The words Big and Massive that Stu Bennett have used indicate we could see the monstrous Crater return.

Revenge or Redemption?

Joe Hendry will get his hands on the man who turned his back on him when he squares off with Martin Kirby.  Back on episode 1, the pair teamed together in the first round of the tag team tournament.  In that match some miscommunication caused Kirby to abandon Hendry and leave him to the wolves.  The two have history and a previous grudge feud, are we seeing another one burgeon between the two?

Can Anyone Stop Rampage?

With the “East End Butcher” Sha Samuels and CJ Banks in his corner and GM Stu Bennett being a fan, Rampage has the run of the place.  Will we see any new challengers emerge? Can anyone stop Rampage? Tune in this Saturday to find out.
