BREAKING: Enzo Amore Released By WWE

Less than twenty-four hours after suspending Enzo Amore, the WWE has now announced it has come to terms with his full release.  The statement was made on Twitter and the WWE website but it provided no further details.

As reported yesterday, Amore was initially suspended following a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet that there was a police investigation that was pending lab results from an alleged rape in Phoenix during October of 2017.  The alleged victim outlined her version of the events on Twitter.  Amore is accused of bringing her to a hotel room along with two of his friends and providing her with recreational drugs until she reached a level of “psychosis”.  It was then that the alleged rape took place. (EDITOR’S COMMENTS: The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that a rape investigation has been underway since October 23, 2017 in regards to this incident, so there’s been speculation that WWE could be irate over Enzo Amore not informing them of the investigation as the Phoenix PD would have no obligation to contact his employers. The release could be far more disciplinary for not being forthcoming with the company, regardless of the outcome)

It is unknown what this means for the Cruiserweight championship or the division itself.  In recent months both Austin Aries and Neville have left, Rich Swann has been suspended pending a domestic abuse investigation and now Amore is released.
