It’s once again time for AEW Dark: Elevation; with eight matches set for this evening, this looks like a can’t-miss episode for fans. Our focus on this week’s Dark: Elevation will be on two matches with two major Ring of Honor (ROH) debuts. First, Tony Nese has been undefeated since joining up with Mark Sterling, and he looks to continue his winning streak against debuting ROH standout Cheeseburger. Finally, we’ll look at the debut of former ROH World Television Champion Rhett Titus as he takes on Konosuke Takeshita.

Tony Nese Takes on Cheeseburger
Cheeseburger makes his All Elite Wrestling debut, but he has a tough match-up as he takes on Tony Nese. For those unfamiliar with Cheeseburger, while he has appeared in various promotions, he made a name for himself in Ring of Honor and was a regular stand out in their Pure Division.
Unfortunately for Cheeseburger, he’s running into a reinvigorated Tony Nese. Since partnering with Mark Sterling, Nese has been on a tear, but it’s not like he was doing bad before their partnership. Since joining AEW’s stacked roster, Nese has only tasted defeat twice against Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship and against Swerve Strickland. While I’m excited for the World Famous CB’s debut, I have to give the edge to Nese in this one.
Konosuke Takeshita Faces Former ROH TV Champion Rhett Titus on AEW Dark: Elevation
Last week, Knosouke Takeshita re-introduced himself to AEW fans with a dominant showing against Brandon Cutler. However, this week, he’ll face a tougher test as he’ll face Rhett Titus. Titus has been a mainstay of Ring of Honor, his tenure with them going back to 2006. He found much success during his sixteen-year run as both a tag team and singles competitor, capturing the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship twice, once as part of All Night Express with Kenny King and again with Tracy Williams as part of The Foundation. As mentioned earlier, he is a former ROH World Television Champion, having defeated recent ROH world title challenger Dalton Castle for the prize before losing the belt to Minoru Suzuki as Supercard of Honor XV.
All of that being said, I do not see Titus walking away with the victory. Takeshita will continue his run as he climbs the ranks of AEW, but Titus will give him his toughest test yet.
