WWE and WCW legend Scott Hall has passed away at age 63 following complications after recent surgery. Wade Keller of PWTorch broke the news originally that the former Razor Ramon was on life support after suffering three heart attacks stemming from a hip replacement surgery. The wrestling world moved to wish “the bad guy” well in his fight, but an update from fellow WWE and WCW legend Kevin Nash left fans without much hope. WWE would later confirm Hall’s passing, displaying a graphic in tribute to him before this week’s Monday Night Raw.
WWE & WCW Legend Scott Hall Passes Away
Kevin Nash took to Instagram to say that Hall would be taken off life support when his family arrived at the scene. Hall’s passing has been a swift and sudden blow to the pro wrestling fandom which has left fans and colleagues alike reeling at the loss of one of the most notorious faces in recent wrestling history.
After making his mark on pro wrestling in the WWF as Razor Ramon, it was in WCW that Hall would make his biggest impact on pro wrestling. Hall, with Kevin Nash, invaded WCW as “The Outsiders” and went on to form the NWO. The formation of the NWO is one of the biggest moments in American wrestling history and almost single-handedly kicked off the infamous Monday Night Wars that saw WWF and WCW duke it out for supremacy. Hall was one of the faces of WCW’s charge as one of the founding members of the NWO, and for that alone, he will be remembered as a key figure in wrestling history.
