Indie Watch is our regular series that looks at all of the amazing talents working the independent circuits around the world. Some are veterans revitalizing their careers, some are indie prospects hitting their peaks, while others are names to be on the watch for! This time, we will take a look at the promising career of  ‘Mr. Zero Gravity’, AJ Daniels.

As he flies through the skies…  AJ Daniels is reaching for the stars.

The Ohio Valley Wrestling prospect is one of the young superstars who seems like his feet never touch the ground. The man nicknamed ‘Mr. Zero Gravity‘ has traveled through the galaxy on his journey to achieve new heights.

In a recent interview with Last Word on Pro Wrestling, Daniels discussed his career, his time in OVW, training with Al Snow, and much more.

Daniels discussed his early beginnings in professional wrestling.

“I’m from the south, so of course, I started my career in the south,” Daniels said, “I wrestled all over, early on. Next Generation Wrestling in Tennessee, AIWF Mid-Atlantic, and all through Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.”

Daniels moved on to Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2019. Since then, he’s soared to incredible heights. He was the inaugural RUSH Division Champion. The high-flyer became one of the most recognizable figures in the company. His out of this world moveset and universal appeal have made him a one of the many rising stars of the Louisville-based promotion.

Becoming the first ever RUSH division titleholder

“Winning the RUSH division title, and being the first champion, was the biggest moment of my career,” he said. “Like, to be given that chance and to be trusted in that position at that time? It’s an honor for me. It’s something that no matter what I do in wrestling or where I go from here? I’ll never forget it.”

“First time holding that belt? It was so, so special to me.”

Daniels says he has a lot of respect for OVW ‘head’ man Al Snow, and that his career has blossomed under the former WWE superstar’s tutelage.

Training with Al Snow

“Getting to work for Al has done so much for me and my career,’ Daniels commented. “He knows things and sees things that a lot of times no one else does. He let you know what you’re doing right, and what you need to work on. It’s been one the biggest honors for me, because he gave me a huge break. He had the confidence not just bringing me to OVW, but also makeing me the first RUSH division champion.”

“I’ll always owe him huge, because I feel like I’m a way better wrestler since I came to Lousville. And that’s because of Al. He’s one of the smartest men in wrestling. If you can’t learn something from being around him, then you’re just not trying learn, you know?”

Looking forward:  There’s no telling how high AJ Daniels will fly in pro wrestling, but it’s pretty clear he’s achieving great heights in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Stay tuned to the career of Mr. Zero Gravity, because the countdown is on. It’s only a matter of time before he really blasts off.
