We are only a few days away from what is shaping up to be one of the best shows that WWE has put on this year. Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 boasts a stacked lineup, and WWE has done, well, for the most part, a great job of putting together a great build. There are two WarGames matches that, if nothing else, will be a beautiful showcase of violence and a World Championship match that is sure to deliver.
There are many questions going into the show but the biggest is who will walk away the winner in their respective matches. There is a case to be made for a winner on both sides of every match but the fun is in taking a guess. Here are predictions for the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 PLE.
Men’s WarGames Match: The OG Bloodline & CM Punk vs The Bloodline 2.0
In what will undoubtedly be the main event we have the culmination of a nearly eight-month story. Solo Sikoa’s usurping of Roman Reigns’ Tribal Chief status has driven the angle, especially with Reigns returning and wanting to reclaim his top spot.
There are so many intriguing matchups going into WarGames. Reigns and Sikoa lead the way, but seeing Jacob Fatu opposite anyone will be awesome. Then you have the inclusion of CM Punk and Bronson Reed.
Two wild cards provide fresh matchups for everyone in the match. It will be interesting to see how WWE wants to work this match with the entries.
As far as a winner goes, it could go either way. The Bloodline 2.0 getting the win would establish all their members as top-of-the-card guys. It could go a long way towards making them a long-term threat to anyone in the company.
However, the OG Bloodline comprises wrestlers who need to win more. Reigns needs to keep his aura intact; Punk can’t afford to take a loss and still go after the World Championship and The Usos and Sami Zayn may not recover. The OG Bloodline and CM Punk are the smart play here.
Prediction: OG Bloodline
Women’s WarGames Match: Rhea Ripley, Bianca Bel-Air, Naomi, Iyo Sky & Bayley vs Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae
For as poor as the build has been for this contest, there is no denying that these women are going to put on one heck of a show. There is good heat between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley and there is no doubt that they will dominate the match but there are some other great matchups to look forward to.
Nia Jax will match up well against anyone. The power of Belair and Ripley will be an interesting contrast opposite the size of Jax. Also, the tease of a Tiffy Stratton cash-in will hang over the match until the very end.
The late addition of Bayley to WarGames is great, and her tenuous relationship with the face team will add a great deal of drama to the match. Both teams could walk out of the cage of the winners here but it would be a better story for the heel team to achieve victory. There are going to be a few storylines continuing out of the match and the heels winning would propel those forward.
Prediction: Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther vs Damiam Priest
The build to this match has been great. Damian Priest and Gunther haven’t been given a ton of time to get excitement brewing but that has done enough. Their backstage segments have been entertaining and their Monday Night Raw promo was expertly done.
This is a rematch from their Summerslam encounter, which was very well done. Both men have surprising agility for their size, so there is no doubt that their match will be awesome. There will be no outside interference this time as well, so there is hope that we will get a clean finish.
A case can be made for Priest winning back the World Championship here. He has more fan support than ever and there are a ton of fresh matchups for him to engage in on Raw.
However, Gunther has merely scratched the surface of what he can do. He broke records as the Intercontinental Champion, and it would be a crime to cut his reign short before he could get going. Look for Gunther to retain here.
Prediction: Gunther
United States Championship Match: LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura
It’s been shocking that WWE has pulled the trigger on this match so soon. It is only recently that Shinsuke Nakamura has returned and set his sights on the United States Championship.
The program has had plenty of intrigue in its short time though. Nakamura looks great and his silent stalker gimmick fits him perfectly. He is starting to get back some of the edge that made him so successful when he was in NXT.
This also presents a fresh match for LA Knight. He has been toiling away against Santos Escobar and, as great as these matches have been, they’ve been a lot of the same old, same old. With Nakamura, there is an opportunity to do so much that we haven’t seen before.
Nakamura and Knight have just scratched the surface, so look for a DQ/countout finish here. It would be a good way to show Nakamura’s unpredictability and give both men something to move forward with.
Prediction: LA Knight by DQ/Countout
Intercontinental Championship Match: Bron Breakker vs Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser
There have been a ton of fun things going on between the three of these men. The constant interference in single matches has been very entertaining. All three men have great chemistry, and it will be great to see the three pull off a triple-threat match come Saturday.
Ludwig Kaiser has shown everyone something. He is no longer the lacky of Gunther, and he has become a great heel in his own right. He is money in the ring and will provide a great matchup against anyone on the roster.
This match should provide some fireworks on Saturday. Bron Breakker and Sheamus are going to provide the hard-hitting action, while Kaiser is going to weave his way in there. It should be a fast-paced match with some stiff shots sprinkled in.
There is also no reason to have anyone but Breakker win. Don’t halt his momentum again.
Prediction: Bron Breakker
