WWE NXT Stars that Should Debut Soon on the Main Roster

A photo of WWE NXT North American Champion Tony D'Angelo.

The now, black and silver brand has been known to bring up some of our favorite wrestlers to date. WWE NXT has helped bring up stars like Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and many more.

As the developmental brand for the WWE, they help train these wrestlers the “WWE way” and train them to wrestle in a storytelling aspect. Promos, gimmicks, and wrestling techniques are all taught when superstars are in NXT.

There is incredible talent in NXT just waiting for that call-up to the main roster. The NXT roster is the WWE’s future; many are ready and can make the future now.

Roxanne Perez

Roxanne Perez should be the next star to make her way out of NXT. The Prodigy, two-time NXT Women’s Champion, has done everything she needs to accomplish in NXT.

She has the look, charisma, and athletic ability—she has it all. Most importantly, she always gets a reaction from the crowd, which means she is doing something right. Perez has quickly become one of the favorites in NXT, whether she’s face or heel.

It seems that she accomplished everything she needed to in NXT. Maybe she can lose her current title to Cora Jade and make her next stop either RAW or SmackDown.

I don’t include Cora Jade on this list because I don’t think she should leave NXT until she becomes champion. She is very similar to Perez in her developmental stages but has more to accomplish in NXT.

I believe a championship run for Jade would be the perfect cherry on top of her NXT career, whether it is the Women’s NXT Championship or North American Title. She needs her chance to prove she can be a champ.

As a fan, Jade and Perez are two wrestlers, and we can’t get enough of them when they are in the ring, whether they work together or against one another.

However, Perez was allowed to show us how she is a champion and has proved that she has the potential to be a future WWE Women’s Champion.

Trick Williams

One of the most vivacious characters in WWE NXT is none other than Trick Williams. Fans scream, “Whoop That Trick” as he makes his way to the ring weekly. The audience feeds off his high energy, making it electric whenever he makes his presence known.

Williams is charismatic and always has the audience’s attention when he enters the ring. His swagger is intriguing, and his physique and athleticism are genuinely impeccable. There is no question that he has a bright future in the business.

Whenever Trick Williams is set to lose his NXT Championship, his next stop is the main roster. It will be exciting to see a new roster of talent for him to face.

Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo has been taking advantage of his time in NXT, creating a unique character and working every week to make his name known.

D’Angelo has become one of the top guys in WWE NXT, but he is the only one with a mob boss persona. He embraces his Italian-American ethnicity and incorporates it into his character.

Loyalty is important to him as he fights alongside the family, including Channing Lorenzo, Adrianna Rizzo, and Luca Crusifino.

It will be interesting to see how long they stay together, as they all have the potential to be great singles competitors.

Out of this group, The Don of NXT has shown he can succeed as a face, heel, and champion. He is currently the NXT North American Champion. While he is a great champion, it will be interesting to see what happens to D’Angelo whenever he loses the title.

Oba Femi

Speaking of Tony D’Angelo, Oba Femi needs to be mentioned. Femi recently lost the NXT North American Championship to D’Angelo in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match at Halloween Havoc 2024. If it wasn’t for the family, there may have been a different outcome.

It was a brutal back-and-forth match, but D’Angelo came out on top. Now that Oba Femi lost his North American championship, what’s next for the six feet six, 300-pound beast?

He’s proven nearly unstoppable in WWE NXT until Halloween Havoc 2024. He rose fast this year after winning the 2024 Men’s Breakout Tournament and showed everyone his athleticism and ability to become a WWE superstar.

Now that he is championship-free, there is a chance he will make his main roster debut soon, where he will face much more talent.

As we approach WrestleMania, I think a promising stop for Femi will be the Royal Rumble, but hopefully, we will see him get a permanent spot on the main roster soon.
