Prepare for a scare because October 2024 is the 10th anniversary of the WWE Studios slasher See No Evil 2. WWE monster Kane was taken out of the WWE Universe and placed in two slasher movies as part of an ambition to create a Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger-style legacy for the character.
10 years on and Kane’s political leanings seemed to have terrified many fans more than the dastardly acts he committed on WWE TV and in the See No Evil movies. We watched See No Evil 2, frankly, so you don’t have to.
Full disclosure: See No Evil 2 is an entertaining and glossy slasher that incorporates the Kane character perfectly. Here’s our full take on Kane’s See No Evil 2 on its 10th anniversary. So you can work out whether or not to add it to your spooky season viewing.

Kane’s Role
Glenn Jacobs AKA Kane plays Jacob Goodnight. We can only presume producers chose to call the delusional, psychopathic killer with a tortured past the name Jacob Goodnight so he wouldn’t be confused with the delusional, psychopathic wrestler with a tortured past Kane.
Goodnight’s mother raised him as a personal weapon to wipe out sin. Tall, bald, and ugly Jacobs had the perfect look to go on a killing spree against a conveyor belt of attractive movie stars.
Any Wrestling?
Yeah. Goodnight rolls out plenty of moves that Kane would in his matches such as a choke, choke throw, gorilla press, and hip toss stopping just short of a full Tombstone Piledriver.
Kane vs. Scream Queens
The movie hired Katherine Isabelle – who had been killed by both Freddy and Jason in the Freddy vs. Jason movie. Danielle Harris, who had gone up against Michael Myers in a number of the Halloween movies was also hired.
This guaranteed two highly experienced ‘Scream Queens’ for Goodnight to menice. Harris plays Amy, a mortician, who chooses not to go for her birthday drinks so she can flirt with her co-worker Seth while they deal with the body count created by Goodnight in the first movie.
Isabelle plays the horny-for-killers Tamara who gets busy with her boyfriend on the corpse of Goodnight. This awakes the beast and 90 enjoyable minutes of screaming, shagging, and slashing erupts.
Goodnight wears a mask at multiple points in the movie to further confuse him with Kane. At that point in his WWE career Jacobs’ character had been flicking between the masked Demon Kane and the unmasked Corporate Kane.
But Goodnight definitely isn’t Kane, ok!

Impact
Jacob Goodnight failed to become the pop culture icon that the movie producers hoped for. This sequel was the final installment in the franchise.
Jacobs teamed up with Isabelle again in the thriller Countdown also starring Dolph Ziggler. Kane’s in-ring career was winding down by the time See No Evil 2 came out, and he spent the next few years as a tag team or part-time attraction.
Jacobs became the Mayor of Knox County and has found himself as part of Donald Trump’s bid to become President of the United States in 2024.
