Predicting the Men’s Team Members for WWE Survivor Series: 2024 War Games

A photo of The Rock and Roman Reigns, potential captains for the WWE Survivor Series 2024: War Games match, on WWE SmackDown.

We are nearly two months away from WWE Survivor Series 2024: War Games, but that hasn’t stopped speculation. Once again, the War Games gimmick match will feature heavily on the card. It’s a good move from WWE, as the gimmick is a fan favorite and has become a Survivor Series staple.

It is safe to assume that the match will revolve around the issues between both The Bloodline factions. Parties on each side of the fence have gathered, but more is needed to fill out a five-man team. So, it begs the question of who will side with the OG Bloodline and the Bloodline 2.0.

Let’s take a look at some great options.

Note: As of right now, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa will comprise Bloodline 2.0, and Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso will fill out the OG Bloodline. We will try to fill out the teams starting from there.

Bloodline 2.0 – The Rock

We can start with the lowest of hanging fruit. The Rock’s return to WWE Bad Blood was great and created more questions than answers. He didn’t say much, but his actions seem to have him leaning back towards his Final Boss gimmick.

This will put him directly against Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, so why not have him captain the new Bloodline in Vancouver?

The Rock is a ratings grab for WWE. He will help tremendously in the build to the show, and it would be interesting to see him in a match that he hasn’t competed in. It would also be the best way to have him get a victory over Reigns and set up their eventual match.

OG Bloodline – Cody Rhodes

It can be assumed that Cody Rhodes will join Team Reigns at Survivor Series. Rhodes has been linked with the Bloodline for the better part of two years. He has primarily stood across the ring from the faction, but he has shifted his stance.

Rhodes has trusted Roman Reigns, and the OTC could use him as a major ally in the War Games.

As the WWE Champion Rhodes has been at the top of his game. He is one of the only men in WWE who can boast a clean victory over Reigns.

Considering that Reigns teamed with Rhodes at Bad Blood and Rhodes is continuing issues with Bloodline 2.0, it would make perfect sense for Rhodes to join the OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series.

Bloodline 2.0 – Kevin Owens

It appears that Kevin Owens has completed his heel turn. A fan video captured Owens attacking Rhodes following the Bad Blood PLE. WWE has been slowly teasing a K.O. heel turn, and now that it has happened, why not fully embrace it?

Owens turning his back on Cody Rhodes and WWE fans by joining Bloodline 2.0 would be a huge coup for the faction. He wouldn’t necessarily need to be a part of the group full-time, but joining them for WWE Survivor Series would be intriguing.

He has a history with everyone in the match, and seeing him on the other side would be a great story for War Games.

OG Bloodline – Jey Uso

This choice may seem academic at this point. Jimmy Uso’s return to side with Reigns should make this a story going into Survivor Series. The cousins have been matched for years.

They comprised the original iteration of the Bloodline, and it would be awesome to see the band get back together, even if for one night only.

There will be some fences to mend for this to happen. Jey has had his issues with Jimmy and Roman, but WWE can play off this and spend a few weeks teasing Jey’s decision. It will make for good television and will get a great pop when Jey agrees to be in War Games.

Bloodline 2.0 – Bronson Reed

He’s not on the same show, but Bronson Reed would be a perfect fit for the heel team heading into Survivor Series. Reed has been getting a massive push on the red brand, and his monster aura has been growing as the days go by.

He just finished a program against Braun Strowman, and despite losing, he came out looking like a beast.

Bronson is a rising star in the company. His next feud is against Seth Rollins, which shows how much WWE has faith in the Aussie.

With this newfound backing, it would make sense to put him in War Games. His size would be a great matchup for those opposite him, and it would be a massive rub for the star.

OG Bloodline – Randy Orton

Randy Orton made his return to WWE at last year’s War Games. It would only be fitting for him to be involved in this year’s iteration of the cage match.

Since his return, Orton has also been aligned with Cody Rhodes. If Rhodes were to join the team, Orton would be the natural ally to bring with him.

There is still going to be some tension between Rhodes and the rest of the OG Bloodline, and Orton would give him a safety blanket. It would make sense for WWE to work this story as Randy makes his decision.

The sadistic nature of the Viper is custom fit for this type of match. No doubt Orton could pull out some brutal moves that would make War Games something special.
