3 Resolutions We Need at WWE Bad Blood 2024

3 Resolutions We Need at WWE Bad Blood 2024

Bad Blood was a PLE created to end major disagreements. In the previous three installments, there have been programs that were blown on.

Big feuds have reached their climax and there was an air of finality to those matches. Headed into Saturday, October 5, several matches fit this description.

There have been some long-standing feuds that have gotten incredibly personal and have been great for that run. However, the time is now for these programs to finish so wrestlers can move on to other things.

Below are three of these programs.

Nia Jax vs Bayley at WWE Bad Blood

This match was just recently added to the Bad Blood schedule. The past few weeks have gone back and forth between Bayley and Naomi, but WWE decided to settle on Bayley trying to get back the championship she lost to Nia Jax.

It isn’t a terrible decision as they know what they will be getting but this has to be the last time these two meet in the ring. WWE has squeezed as much as they can out of this feud.

The two have a history that goes back to their NXT days and their matches have been serviceable so far but there isn’t much else to do. Jax has been dominant in her matches against Bayley and a win here would put their problems to bed.

Jax needs to move on. Her reign has been dominated by Bayley and the fans will grow tired of this eventually.

WWE has sowed seeds of dissent between Jax and her on-again, off-again friend Tiffany Stratton. It would be great to see Jax move on to a fresh feud with Stratton and see where WWE can take it.

CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood

This program has dominated WWE programming for the better part of a year. Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have thrown fire at each other and the rivalry has become as personal as any could get.

There have been shots fired about their personal and professional lives that have heightened the stakes every time they stepped into the ring. Speaking of their ring work, their matches have gotten increasingly more brutal.

Their SummerSlam match was a great first volley and it was followed up by a better-than-average strap match. Both matches were intense and had the fans on the edge of their seats.

It is to be expected that everything about their Hell in a Cell match will be dialed up to 11. There is no doubt that the ring will be stained with blood by the end of the match, but this should be the last one between the two.

There isn’t much else to do with the problems between McIntyre and Punk. They have been at each other since the start of the year and anything following Bad Blood would be redundant.

Their match is designed to be a bookend to their year-long rivalry and anything past it could receive backlash from the fans.

Damian Priest vs Finn Balor at WWE Bad Blood

Finn Balor turning on his former stablemate was a great twist to the end of the World Championship Match at SummerSlam but it has fallen flat since that time. There have been some promo trains between the two but it hasn’t gotten a huge reaction.

The focus is shifting away from Balor and towards Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan. Balor has done what he could to get the heat on him but the finish of this match seems like a foregone conclusion.

Priest has evolved into one of the top babyfaces on the roster. He has outgrown his issues with Judgement Day and now is the time to put his problems with the group to bed.

There isn’t much more that the company can do with the group and now would be the time to see both parties move on to other things. Priest should get his win and move towards the World Championship rematch he never got, while the Judgement Day would do well to enter into group warfare opposite the Wyatt Sicks.
