All You Need to Know About The WWE NXT Move to The CW

WWE NXT is set to make its move to the CW on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. With several WWE weekly shows making moves, NXT will be no different, as they make the CW their home.

Before the move, there are some questions that one might have regarding how things will be once NXT is on the CW. Here is all you need to know about the move.

Why Is WWE NXT Moving to The CW?

NXT made its USA Network debut in 2019 and, after five years, the brand will move to a new home. This will be the first time in NXT’s 13-year history that the show will air on a broadcast television network.

With a move to The CW, NXT stands a chance to increase its audience and brand visibility. WWE President, Nick Khan, spoke on how The CW’s expansion into live sports programming made it an ideal fit for NXT.

When Does WWE NXT Move to The CW?

NXT will officially debut on The CW Network on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The show will continue airing at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT every Tuesday night.

The five-year agreement can be expected to last until 2029. NXT’s stay on the CW will be kicked off by two special editions of the weekly show.

How to Watch NXT on CW

There are multiple ways to watch NXT on the CW. There is traditional broadcast television access, the CW App, and more.

Peacock will no longer have the NXT library once the move to the CW is in effect. However, all WWE PLEs, including NXT’s own, will exclusively show on Peacock.

Internationally, NXT will still have a home with partners such as Sony India and more.

  • NXT Women’s Championship Match: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Giulia

  • Tag Team Match: Jaida Parker & Lola Vice vs. Fatal Influence
  • Special Appearances by The Miz, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair

*CM Punk will serve as the special guest referee

October 8 live from The Factory At The District in Chesterfield, Missouri

  • NXT North American Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo
  • NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Axiom & Nathan Frazer (c) vs. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller)
  • Singles Match: Randy Orton vs. Je’Von Evans
  • Special Appearance by Sexyy Red
