Preview: AEW Collision (9/21/24) – 10-Man All-Star Tag to Main Event

A match graphic for AEW Collision.

AEW Collision returns this Saturday with a huge lineup on the cards ahead of an important Grand Slam week with rivalries set to hit a breaking point. The show this week will be live from MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts airing on TNT at 8pm ET/7pm CT. Here’s the card announced thus far:

Announced Card:

    • Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs Sammy Guevara & Dustin Rhodes – ROH World Tag Team Titles
    • FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood), The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) & Hook vs Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson), Roderick Strong, Rush & The Beast Mortos

10-Man All-Star Matchup Sees Major Rivals Clash Before Grand Slam Week

In what is almost certain to be the main event match, we see a whole host of AEW’s biggest stars go head-to-head in 10-Man Tag Action. FTR will resume their heated rivalry with Grizzled Young Veterans despite picking up the win over them last week on Collision, perhaps as expected considering they were beat down after the match requiring The Outrunners to step in to make the save.

Joining FTR & The Outrunners is FTW Champion Hook who is scheduled to face Roderick Strong for the title on the huge Dynamite Grand Slam show next week, explaining why he has agreed to join forces with the Grizzled Young Vets to take on this mega team.

Strong has also recruited his two now-common teammates, Rush and The Beast Mortos to balance out the numbers, they also have their own issues with FTR after losing to them on Dynamite last month and will be seeking vengeance come Saturday. With Strong vs Hook already announced for Dynamite Grand Slam, we could also see the setup here for FTR vs GYV 2 for the same show by the end of this bout.

ROH Tag Team Titles on the Line in ‘Bunkhouse Brawl’ Match

The Undisputed Kingdom finally cash in their rematch opportunity for the ROH Tag Titles after losing them to Guevara & Rhodes last month on Collision but this time with a Bunkhouse Brawl stipulation in place.

While it isn’t clear what this stipulation means as of yet, it is safe to presume we can expect no-rules chaos when these two teams clash once again on Saturday. The Undisputed Kingdom will be motivated after missing out on a World Tag Title opportunity when they lost the Tag Casino Gauntlet match last week and are sure to be after redemption.
