Preview: WWE Raw (9/16/24) – CM Punk + 3 Big Bouts

A WWE Raw match graphic featuring CM Punk.

CM Punk gets his chance to respond to Adam Pearce placing him inside Hell In A Cell with Drew McIntyre on a WWE Raw that features a World Tag Team Championship match and two grudge feuds come to a head.

It will be the first of three final three-hour WWE Raw shows before the flagship program slims down to a two-hour format on October 7.

Here’s our full preview of WWE Raw on the USA Network at 8/7 C.

Match Card WWE Raw (9/16/24)

  • World Tag Team Championship: Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh vs. “The New Day” Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston
  • “Big” Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman
  • Damian Priest vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio
  • CM Punk Speaks on His Match at WWE Bad Blood Against Drew McIntyre

CM Punk Addresses Hell In A Cell

The “Voice of the Voiceless” CM Punk will make his voice heard regarding being placed into a Hell In A Cell match at Bad Blood against Drew McIntyre.

CM Punk might also make his feelings known on WWE selling a replica of his beloved AJ and Larry bracelet. WWE released the bracelet last week, before removing it and then releasing a new one with CM Punk’s name on it in place of his wife and dog.

WWE Raw Preview: Match Card

“The New Day” get the chance to hold tag team gold for the 13th time.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will compete with Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh. It will be the Irish duo’s first TV defense of the WWE World Tag Team Championship they won 84 days ago.

Bronson Reed was too stricken by COVID-19 to compete in the Intercontinental Championship No.1 contender’s match last week. But the “Big” Aussie superstar was well enough to interfere and take Braun Strowman out of the match.

Reed and Strowman go one-on-one. Last time they fought, Reed hit a devastating Tsunami on Strowman on top of a car.

Perhaps Strowman should swot up on our WCW Hog Wild profile to arm himself with a vehicular defense against Reed.

“Dirty” Dom Mysterio might fancy his chances against Damian Priest a little more, when they tangle this week, now that Rhea Ripley is off her feet and on crutches. Although Ripley still got the better of Liv Morgan last week on one leg!

Expect to see more from Ripley and Morgan as they build to their Women’s World Championship match at Bad Blood.
