Last week’s WWE SmackDown was historic, being broadcast live from Germany for the first time. This week’s show will be the first SmackDown after a momentous Bash in Berlin PLE, and we deal with the fallout from that amazing show. Let’s not wait any longer as we preview the latest installment of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Let’s run it down.
Announced for WWE SmackDown:
- Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Responds to Challenge of Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline
- The Bloodline vs. The Street Profits vs. #DIY
- Giovanni Vinci Returns
Vinci with a Vengeance
After his dismissal from IMPERIUM, Giovanni Vinci is back and is looking to make an impact on the WWE Friday Night SmackDown roster. Vinci stated that he was finally the man he had always been meant to be. He learned from the past and is looking to turn over a new leaf and show everyone what he’s got on Friday nights.
How will the two-time NXT Tag Team Champion rise to the occasion and prove his naysayers wrong? Giovanni Vince officially returns this Friday night on SmackDown!
Rekindling Bad Blood(line)
Cody Rhodes has been exceptional as Undisputed WWE Champion, taking on all comers left and right. Unfortunately for the “American Nightmare,” there’s one thing that he cannot quite shake off: The Bloodline. The bout between him and Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam was riddled with controversy.
Sikoa unleashed his faction to take out Rhodes, almost winning the title in the process. Cody had help from Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, but the numbers game was too much. That was until Roman Reigns made his return and delivered a Spear to Solo to help Cody retain his title.
As the WWE Universe may expect, Solo Sikoa is still out for revenge, feeling that he was a couple of seconds and a Samoan Spike away from hoisting the championship. This week, Solo Sikoa expects answers from Cody Rhodes, and it looks like the champion has an answer.
Will Solo Sikoa get his wish? Or will Cody Rhodes hand-select another challenger, much like what he did for Bash in Berlin?
