Preview: WWE NXT (8/20/24) - Championship Eliminator Matches

This week’s episode of WWE NXT moves the build towards the No Mercy PLE into high gear. This week’s show focuses primarily on the matches we could see at NXT No Mercy.

Here is all you need to know ahead of the August 20 NXT.

WWE NXT Full Match Card:

  • WWE NXT Women’s Championship Six-Woman Gauntlet Eliminator Match: Wren Sinclair vs. Adrianna Rizzo vs. Sol Ruca vs. Jaida Parker vs. Kendal Grey vs. Karmen Petrovic

WWE NXT Championship Eliminator

The August 20 edition of NXT will feature an NXT Championship eliminator match. The title is currently held by Ethan Page, who has dared any of these three men to step up to him on September 1st.

Pete Dunne, Joe Hendry, and Wes Lee all have their motivations to get the title. On August 20, it will come down to who wants it more, and who is willing to do whatever it takes to get to the gold.

Regardless, expect Page to be watching this match closely, as his next challenger will be one of the three Superstars.

WWE NXT Women’s Contender Determined By Gauntlet Eliminator

NXT General Manager Ava recently announced a gauntlet eliminator match to determine the next challenger for Roxanne Perez. Having won the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver on Saturday, April 6, Perez has ruled over the women’s division for over 136 days.

On August 20, six Superstars step into the ring for a chance to be next to challenge Perez’s reign. Namely, these six will consist of Wren Sinclair, Adrianna Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey, and Karmen Petrovic.

The women of NXT have been known to bring it when it comes to these types of matches and, with a title opportunity on the line, nothing less should be expected here.
