Triple H Made His Best Creative Decision Yet At Money in the Bank

With Money in the Bank done, Triple H might have made his best creative decision yet. But some don’t agree with this.

The Internet Wrestling Community is at it again. The uproar this time?

Drew McIntyre‘s failed “cash-in” of the Money in the Bank briefcase this past Saturday in Toronto. As usual, but more specifically this time, the IWC couldn’t be more WRONG!

It Was The Right Call

Despite what the basement dwellers say, this may actually be Triple H’s greatest creative decision yet. One major thing that hampered Vince McMahon‘s booking over the last couple of years was the predictability factor.

Theme-specific PLEs only make this worse because writers are forced to build towards certain story arcs each year. For the first time in quite a few years, that is not the case for the men’s MITB bank briefcase.

Each character involved was progressed during the match, but now Triple H can go freely in any direction with ALL of the characters.

It Can Truly Be Tiffy Time

The biggest winner in this whole scenario is Tiffany Stratton. Without a men’s MITB cash-in to execute, this clears the way to put 100% of the creative efforts into Stratton’s inevitable rise to the top of the women’s division.

Often the women’s MITB cash-in is overshadowed by the wen’s. With that out of the way for this year, “Tiffy Time” will be at the forefront for the first time as a true main event-level performer.

The inevitable cash-in with Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship gives WWE a fresh story between one of the best to ever do it and the future. With 8+ months until WrestleMania and three major PLEs in between (SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble), time is money and that’s exactly what this story will be.

Punk-McIntyre-Rollins

A lot of the IWC said that CM Punk and McIntyre didn’t need all of this. But in reality, it did.

Not only did Punk screw over McIntyre for the World Championship again, it also reignited the issues between him and Seth Rollins from WrestleMania season. Rollins told Punk months ago to stay out of his business.

For months, Punk did, until he didn’t – at least in the eyes of the beholder (in this case Rollins himself.)

The breakdown is simple:

Punk vs. McIntyre = big money match.

Punk vs. Rollins = big money match

Rollins vs. McIntyre = a money match that needs a rematch from WrestleMania

Jey Uso didn’t need the briefcase. LA Knight didn’t need the briefcase. With all that Chad Gable is going through, he certainly didn’t need the briefcase.

But in order to get where WWE is going next, we ALL need CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam.
