WWE star Angel Garza recently revealed that he is staying with the company and signed a new multi-year contract.
Garza previously worked in AAA and Impact Wrestling before signing with WWE in April 2019. In WWE, he has won the Cruiserweight Championship and the 2/7 Championship. The Mexican wrestler currently competes on SmackDown as one-half of Los Lotharios, alongside his cousin Berto. Garza is also a member of Legado Del Fantasma with Berto, Santos Escobar, and Elektra Lopez.
Garza Reveals New Deal
Rumors floated around that his contract was set to expire in August. However, Garza confirmed in a live stream on Facebook that he is staying with WWE for a few more years.
After a fan asked Garza if he was done with WWE, the veteran responded:
“No, I have not left. In fact, I just re-signed for another three years. It was an offer I straight-up could not reject, so there is that.”
Not Booked For Live Events In Mexico
It is interesting to note that Garza was recently snubbed from a major opportunity in his home country. WWE is heading to Mexico for live events on July 13 and 14, but neither Garza or Berto will be competing.
In a Tweet, Berto informed fans of this news:
“This year (like last) we will not be at the shows at Mexico City and Monterrey on July 13 and July 14. We hope to see you next time!”
Berto continued on the thread:
“But it’s understandable, card is tight and the Mexican crowd wants to see other superstars as well! It’s just a little sad that so far we’re not contemplated for it. But we’ll see”

It’s just a little sad that so far we’re not contemplated for it. But we’ll see 🤞🏾— Humberto Carrillo (@humberto_wwe) July 2, 2024
Berto’s contract is set to expire in August like Garza’s was, so we have to wait and see if Los Lotharios stay together.
