Preview: WWE SmackDown (7/5/24) – Last Show Before Money in the Bank

WWE SmackDown will be live from the Scotia Bank Arena in beautiful Toronto, Canada. This episode of everyone’s Friday night professional wrestling program will be the final stop before this Saturday’s exciting Money in the Bank PLE. If you think WWE will be holding back with a premium live event just on the horizon, that’s not at all the case.

The WWE Universe will experience a couple of exciting tag team wars, one with the WWE Tag Team Championship on the line! With all that said, let’s get right into it. Here’s a preview of the latest installment of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Let’s run it down.

The Only Way Through the Storm

Indi Hartwell messed up big time last week, essentially costing Jade Cargill a spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Revenge is a dish best-served cold, as they say, as Hartwell herself also didn’t qualify due to a distraction from Cargill’s friend and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship-winning partner Bianca Belair.

These teams clearly have bad blood to settle. Fortunately, they’re going to have time to do it in Toronto. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell better be prepared because Cargill and Belair is no longer playing around. Who will come out on top in this showcase of the best tag teams in the WWE Women’s Division?

Tag Team Turmoil in Toronto

The issues between the current reigning and defending WWE Tag Team Champions A-Town Down Under and number one contenders #DIY will finally result in a match the WWE Universe has clamoring for over the past couple months. This Friday, it will be all for the marbles as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller put the championship up for grabs.

Both teams have been trading jabs in and out of the ring for the longest time now. Caught in between this is Austin Theory. The former U.S. Champion has history with Johnny Gargano in their time in The Way and is still looking out for the young champion, suspecting that Waller will do whatever it takes to keep the Tag Titles around his waist, even if it means sacrificing his own partner.

Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa has been trying for weeks to convince Austin of this. However, one-half of the A-Town Down Under duo is not budging an inch. The other half, on the other hand, has dismissed these allegations, even brutally attacking Gargano last week on WWE SmackDown.

That said, everyone needs to put everything aside and set their eyes on the richest prize in all of Tag Team Wrestling. It’s coming to ahead in Toronto! A-Town Down Under & #DIY; something has got to give! See all go down this Friday night on WWE SmackDown, which you can watch only on Fox!
