Alexa Bliss has been out of action for far too long. She had previously lost a Raw Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair at the 2023 Royal Rumble PLE and has been off-air for 16 months thereafter.
During this time, she faced the unfortunate diagnosis of skin cancer but has since recovered. Bliss announced her pregnancy shortly after, with her husband Ryan Cabrera, and in December of last year, the couple welcomed their baby into the world.
As anticipation grows for her return to the spotlight, let’s explore three possible directions for Bliss upon her comeback.
Alexa Bliss Joins The Wyatt Sicks
Fans theorized Bliss’ involvement in the Wyatt Sicks even before their debut after scanning the initial QR code. The code revealed the acronym “UEDNJ51A,” with each letter believed to correspond to a member of the stable: U for Uncle Howdy, E for Erick Rowan, D for Dexter Lumis, N for Nikki Cross, and J for Joe Jacy.
Combining the five and one would result in six. Additionally, A stands for Alexa Bliss.
Given her partnership with Bray Wyatt from 2020-2021, it wouldn’t be surprising if Bliss joined forces with the Wyatt Sicks. Throughout various instances, we have witnessed Bliss embrace her eerie persona with or without “The Fiend” by her side.
The last time we saw Bliss, she reverted to her previous sinister behavior during a feud with Belair. The cause of this change in behavior was Uncle Howdy himself.
By joining the Wyatt Sicks, Bliss would also rekindle her relationship with former tag team partner Cross. The pair won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship titles on two different occasions before their breakup in 2020.
With several connections to this group, it is highly likely that Bliss will be revealed as the sixth and final member.
Alexa Bliss Fights Former Friend Nikki Cross
While Bliss might join the Wyatt Sicks, it is also possible that she makes her return to Raw to fight off Cross. The Wyatt Sicks made an impact last Raw by attacking several members of the roster.
A strong babyface is needed to combat the Sister Abigail persona, and there is no one more suitable to do this besides Bliss.
Bliss and Cross were the best of friends but that all changed when “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt began influencing the Goddess. Cross asked Bliss to choose between her and The Fiend, and she cheerfully chose the latter, effectively dumping Cross.
Abandonment from Bliss sent Cross on a bumpy path, where she reinvented herself several times. Her quick rise to championship gold as Nikki A.S.H. fell off just as quickly.
New partnerships with Rhea Ripley and Doudrop did not match up to her and Bliss’ relationship either. From there, Nikki A.S.H. returned to her crazy persona as Nikki Cross and floundered on the roster for another year.
Storyline-wise, Cross has every reason to blame Bliss for her lack of success after their breakup. She might still hold a grudge all these years later.
Alexa Bliss Returns as The Goddess
The final most likely storyline for Bliss once she returns is the comeback of “The Goddess.” This would be a welcome change of pace since we have not seen Bliss dominate with her heel “Goddess” persona since 2018.
As a heel, she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice and the Raw Women’s Championship three times. Since losing the Raw title to Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam in 2018, Bliss has yet to capture singles gold again.
For fans yearning to see her at the top of the division upon her return, the return of “The Goddess” might be essential. SmackDown would be the ideal position for a heel Bliss to compete on, with Bayley as the champion of the blue brand.
Bayley needs competition, and Bliss has no shortage of bad blood with the Role Model. The return of arguably her best character would no doubt be an exciting way to come back to WWE.
